Color & Style: How Would You Classify This?
Looking at this cropped version of a piece I am currently working on, how would you describe it?
Leave me a comment . . . I'd really like to know.

What Goes Around Comes Around
Years ago I gave a bunch of scraps to my mother-in-law. I had forgotten all about it until I visited my daughter and granddaughter and noticed the quilt that had some very familiar looking swatches. She said, "Grandma had made the quilt for her using those scraps I had given her long ago!" How cool is that! A Win-Win indeed!

It's a Small World
You've heard it said and probably experienced it many times, "It's a small world".
When I was in the fourth grade at Scott Elementary Mrs. Fern Curtis was my teacher. Everyday, she would tell us something about her daughter "Ann". I think sometimes we even heard about Ann more than once in a day, it was part of the daily ritual.
A few weekends ago I attended a quilt show and struck up a conversation with a woman I had never met. To make a long story short - IT WAS ANN! Who knew we'd meet 40 years later at a quilt show! I am quite sure Mrs. Curtis was smiling down on us from above. ;-) I can still hear her voice, "Ann did this . . . Ann did that". Mrs. Curtis was a great teacher (on the strict side), her daughter Ann is delightful as are her two other daughters who also attended the show.
