Wall Quilts are the Perfect Backdrop

Ever notice how a quilt makes a beautiful backdrop for a vase of flowers? (even if there just in a canning jar)

Quilt is the Forget Me Not Quilt pattern.

Bead & Button Show

I recently attended the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee,WI. I came away with this "starter stash" of beads.

Which lead to my first beading project.

When it's finished it will be a beaded clutch, using my Fat-Quarter Scrap-bag™ Pattern.

Did I Mention My Sister that HATED SEWING is Hooked on Quilting?

Next quilt for the newly addicted quilting sister of mine? She chose my On The Breeze Pattern.
What a good sister she is. Below are the three layouts using the same single block.

On the Breeze Quilt Pattern - Block layout #1

On the Breeze Quilt Pattern - Block layout #2

On the Breeze Quilt Pattern - Block layout #3

Which layout did she choose? Here's the unveiling at our year end craft club dinner!

Layout #3!  Both quilter maker and quilter are hiding behind the quilt! Come out come out!

Here they are. Roxie Baumann (left) machine quilted it. Tracy (in the hat) a happy quilting sister.
Quilt finished with binding on, at home on the sofa. Well done Tracy!

Quilting is not only addicting, it's also contagious.

My Quilt Club group and I are very fortunate. We are allowed to sit and sew from 9-4 one Saturday a month at one of the local churches. They do not charge us a dime. In exchange we are making a quilt to donate to the church to use in any way they see fit. Here are some photos of our busy bee group along with the quilt in progress. Right now it's at the quilters. I can't wait to see it finished.

Yes, it's the same pattern that I showed in the last post. The one my sister made. Well, she made it at quilt club and everyone there saw it. So you see, quilting is not only addicting, it's also contagious.

Both Lori and I were cutting to keep up with the stitching gals!

Here is my sister Tracy, the one that started it all!
Sewing, pressing, cutting, sewing, pressing, cutting more . . .
Hard working Quilt Club Members!
Watch this stack MAGICALLY turn into a quilt.

Just beginning the layout.

Left over pile of scraps from the first day of working on this quilt. Yes, this went home with some one.
