Below are photos from the very first meeting of our newly formed QUILT CLUB, along with just two of the many beautiful show and tell quilts that were brought to share. We spent the day together sewing and getting to know each other. There were plenty of home baked and store bought goodies to share and we ordered delivery pizzas at noon.
This club started because two women who had never met in person (they had a friendship via email) wanted to find a place where they could meet and quilt together. One of them found a location where we could meet for the day free of charge. They set a date and time and each invited quilters they knew. And 'viola' a new quilt club was formed!Do you belong to a quilt club? How did yours start? Any advice for a newbie group like ours?
