Hand Pieced, Hand Quilted Hexagon quilt for my Grand Daughter!

My grand daughter (and first grand child) was born a year ago. She was premature and I spent lots of days in the hospital with my daughter while she was in pre-term labor and then weeks waiting for little Miss Makena to be strong enough to come home. So how did I pass the time??? Quilting of course. Here is a photo of my daughter and Makena one year later at Makena's birthday party, draped in the quilt.

Let sleeping dogs lye . . .

Even if it's in the middle of your paper piecing mess! This is my view looking down from where I sit at my sewing machine. Such an ever faithful friend!

Triple Squares Bag sighting at The Noble Quilter in Elk River !

They are doing road construction on our street and so yesterday when I was trying to go home there was a huge dump truck parked sideways blocking my street. So, hmmm what's the best way to kill time? Visit the local quilt shop of course!!! I was immediately delighted minutes after stepping though the front door, because I saw this awesome version of my Triple Squares Scrap-bag™ pattern! They substituted the magnetic snap/or zipper options for this awesome button closure and eliminated the third small square pocket. By making those two simple changes they ended up with this fantastic bag!

Kits are available! YES they are! (while supplies last)
